When I was doing research for this project i came across two wikis that were interesting. One focused on the study and utilization of the graphic novel format and the other was centered on the graphic novel Persepolis. I thought that it was interesting that these were already out there on the internet but it obviously took me doing this project to find them and learn from them.
Even though this project started out only as research for my final, it became a really detailed resource for me that i plan on keeping and referring back to as i continue in education. I started out wanting to know more about why graphic novels really are a good alternative in the classroom, but I also wanted to explore the skepticism that many people (teachers, librarians, parents) have for them. Additionally, i included some lesson plans, graphic novel discussions and videos.
